Under the theme of ‘A Better Future,’ LG Display’s SID 2024 booth, comprised of ‘Innovation towards reality,’ ‘Unrivaled OLED technology,’ and ‘Shaping the future of mobility’ zones, features a diverse range of high-tech technologies that will help shape the future of display innovations.
In the Shaping the future of mobility zone, LG Display has put forth its automotive display solutions that provide differentiated driving experiences for both drivers and passengers, featuring the company’s state-of-the-art ATO(Advanced Thin OLED) and LTPS LCD technologies.
12.3” ATO Cluster & 17’’ ATO CID
Poised to hit the market in the near future, LG Display’s ‘ATO(Advanced Thin OLED)’ incorporates the pioneering two-stack OLED technology Tandem OLED, which adds an extra organic emitting layer for brighter screens, optimal stability, and longer lifespans over single-layer OLEDs.
Apart from LG Display’s proprietary P-OLED technology, ATO utilizes a glass substrate to retain OLED’s perfect black and ultra-high definition at a more competitive pricing point. In addition, ATO enables a sleek design thanks to its thin glass substrate, which is 20% thinner than general glass substrate OLEDs.
12.3” 3D LCD Cluster
Besides its comprehensive lineup of automotive OLEDs, LG Display also boasts LTPS LCD solutions featuring glasses-free 3D technology.
The 12.3-inch glasses-free 3D cluster uses a camera to track the driver’s line of sight to provide optimized driving information in immersive 3D while also delivering the classic look of an analog dashboard for maximum visual satisfaction.
