A ‘Total Solution’ that enables ‘Always on’ leadership in OLED Technology
Upon entering the ‘Total Solutions’ zone, visitors are greeted with a captivating video showcasing LG Display’s decade-long history of OLED innovation. Ever since pioneering the production of the world’s first 55-inch FHD OLED in 2013, LG Display has continued to lead the pack. From the ultra-large OLED TVs to Rollable, Bendable, and Transparent OLED solutions, LG Display is consistently breaking new ground to cater to the diverse needs of customers.
Harnessing over a decade of OLED expertise, LG Display unveiled its ‘META Technology,’ the company’s third-generation OLED TV panel which ingeniously combines micro lenses for optimal OLED light emission and brightness-enhancing algorithm. This achievement improves the panel’s energy efficiency by 22%, transcending the brightness and viewing angle limitations of traditional OLEDs. It has one of the brightest screens among all OLED TV panels, offering an unmatched depiction of natural light and vivid colors.
The world’s largest 97-inch OLED also turned heads with its enormous 2.1-by-1.2 meters of pure size and unparalleled image quality which combine to deliver an immersive viewing experience that competes handily with movie theaters!
Moreover, LG Display’s OLED technology is also shining in the gaming scene. The company’s Gaming OLED boasts the fastest refresh rate out of all existing panels and other features that enable a pleasant gaming experience. Depending on the game genre, viewers can easily adjust the curvature of the screen using a remote control. Also, the AI-based CSO(Cinematic Sound OLED) unlocks the highest degree of immersion.
‘Mobility Zone’ showcases automotive displays that are ‘Always on’
In the ‘Mobility’ zone, visitors will feel like they’ve stepped into a motor show thanks to the autonomous concept vehicle incorporated with various display technologies. As a market leader in automotive displays, LG Display showcased its prowess as a market leader in premium automotive displays.
LG Display’s ‘34-inch P-OLED automotive display’ stretches across the dashboard to deliver clear information and navigation on a large screen with an ergonomic design that enhances driving convenience.
P-OLED is LG Display’s unique technology that incorporates innovative Tandem OLED onto a flexible plastic substrate to make the design as slim and light as possible. Moreover, P-OLED uses 60% less power and weighs 80% lighter than LCD displays, making it the ultimate solution for electric vehicles in particular. LG Display is strengthening its leading market position based on its differentiated technological competitiveness forged by its Tandem OLED and high-end LCDs, while focusing on expanding its revenue and securing more orders.
‘Always on’ presents a ‘Transparent Future’
LG Display’s ‘Transparent Future’ zone is probably the most popular place in the entire exhibition, as it seems many are intrigued by the unique capabilities of the company’s Transparent OLED. The collaboration with global coffee brand Starbucks to create a futuristic café concept showcased a variety of Transparent OLED displays in different sizes enriched with high-sensitivity touch features, letting visitors witness Transparent OLED’s boundless potential in person.
Transparent OLED’s thin, lightweight form helps it harmonize with different styles of furniture and interior designs. Its transparent nature not only maintains an open atmosphere in smaller spaces but also offers advantages that extend to expressing essential information such as pickup notifications and store promotions.
The 55-inch curved Transparent OLED was demonstrated in the F&B showcase to give customers the opportunity to view items and read various product information simultaneously. Some visitors even engaged in touch interactions, with one of these lucky people saying, “The touch-enabled showcase is intriguing and appealing from an interior design perspective too.
