SEOUL, Korea (Sep. 1, 2022) – LG Display, the world’s leading innovator of display technologies, announced today that it will be unveiling its state-of-the-art OLED technologies culminated through a ten-year long journey of demonstrating excellence as a pioneer in the display industry at IFA2022 in Berlin, Germany from September 2.
LG Display’s booth will be located in IFA’s main venue, ‘Messe Berlin,’ to showcase its ‘EX Technology’ to customers in Europe alongside the world’s largest 97-inch OLED panel.
The 97-inch OLED offers a new level of cinematic experience due to its gargantuan size while the 77-inch 8K OLED panel, which offers the highest resolution possible under the current display technology, independently controls 33 million self-emissive pixels to deliver brilliant ultra-high-resolution images.
The company is also showing off its 65-inch OLED panel and gaming-optimized 42-inch OLED panel to further demonstrate the self-lit technology’s superior performance.
By showcasing its complete OLED lineup which ranges from 42- to 97-inch panels – the largest OLED TV panel ever made, LG Display will exhibit the evolution of OLED in terms of size, resolution and image quality for visitors of IFA 2022.
Employing ‘deuterium technology’ and ‘personalized algorithms,’ LG Display’s proprietary ‘EX Technology’ enhances brightness by up to 30 percent compared to conventional OLED displays while achieving perfect black levels in any environment. Meanwhile, the bezel thickness has been reduced by 30 percent compared to existing panels, providing the ultimate immersive viewing experience in a more sleek and premium design.
Since becoming the first ever manufacturer to mass-produce the 55-inch full-HD OLED TV panel in 2013, LG Display has pioneered the popularization of OLED in the premium TV market by constantly evolving the capabilities of OLED technologies, such as introducing 8K, Transparent and Rollable OLED over the past decade.
Through this year’s IFA event, LG Display aims to deliver the premium values and experience uniquely provided by OLED technology in Europe, which currently represents the world’s largest market for OLED TVs.
