[Photos] A Sneak Peek at How Transparent OLED Shone at the 2022 YCC Party

LG and the Guggenheim are joining forces to inspire today’s artists as well as new innovations in technology. They announced a five-year initiative at one of New York’s most stylish events this week, the 2022 Young Collector’s Council (YCC) Party. LG Display’s cutting-edge Transparent OLED technology added glamor to the annual event, which was held at the Guggenheim’s landmark building.

Let’s take a closer look at this groundbreaking moment at the intersection of art and technology, as we take a walk through the YCC Party.

To the left of the first-floor entrance, visitors were greeted with the sight of ‘Step & Repeat’ adorned with rich colors and the logos of LG Display, OLED, and the Guggenheim.
Next up on the right was the Main Bar. Using LG’s ‘StanbyME’ to digitally display the drinks menu, partygoers could choose from a variety of delicious cocktails representing the OLED name – Old’ Standby, La Clásica, Early Morning, and Doctor’s Orders.
Further inside the venue was an exhibition of what makes Transparent OLED so impressive. Nine 55-inch Transparent OLED displays were arranged in a 3×3 format. LG Display used a variety of colorful video content to deliver its ‘Art, Futuristic, Essential’ philosophy.
What’s a party without a special photo zone? While the DJ performed, Transparent OLED displays showed a video of different photo frames, providing guests with stunning background visuals and the ideal opportunity for a shot taken by a professional photographer. The photo frames also changed depending on whether it was a single or group shot, offering a more memorable and engaging experience for those in attendance.
Guests were able to enjoy LG Display’s OLED presence elsewhere throughout the party, including by witnessing a new look for the Guggenheim’s iconic rotunda. Dynamic visuals were displayed on the Rotunda Bumpouts during the DJ’s performance, offering spectacular imagery of both the museum and the interplay of logos.
The first floor’s rotunda balcony wall displayed the event’s main hashtag: #YCCParty x LGDISPLAY. Thanks to the Guggenheim’s spiral architecture, colorful logos embroidered the party venue.

So, how did you find the 2022 YCC Party marking the start of a global collaboration between LG and the Guggenheim? LG Display’s OLED tech certainly added some incredible visuals on top of the party’s buzz and the museum’s beautiful architecture.
